This quote is telling us that if we don't know where the goalpost are, we won't accomplish our goals. If you do know where the goalpost are then we  will accomplish our goals. Also if you don't know where the goalpost are you won't make it far in life. If you do know where the goalpost are the you will make it far in life. If you don't know where the goalpost are you wont complete what you were planning on doing in life. If you do know where the goalpost are you will complete what you were planning on doing in life.
