“You knew what i was when you picked me up.”

This saying that if you know that something is going to hurt/put you in the hospital don’t pick it you because you know what is going to happen. If you know what it is don’t pick it up. The Indian knew that it was a rattlesnake and said that he wasn’t going to pick it up because he knew is kind that if he picked it up that he will bite him, but then the rattlesnake said no that you will be special so the Indian picked up at took him down the mountain once he got down the mountain he put the rattlesnake on the ground then the rattlesnake curled/swirled up and bit him in the leg, the Indian told him but you promised that you wouldn’t bite me the rattlesnake told him you knew what I was when you picked me up and the rattlesnake slithered away. The Indian did the right thing at first but then he did the wrong thing by listening to him and picking him up.
